Stash of meth seized in Friendship Road traffic stop

An Oconee deputy in the sheriff’s office “PACE” team — Pro-Active Community Enforcement — made a traffic stop Monday afternoon begun on the Friendship Road near Seneca and the result, according to the sheriff’s office, is a 31-year old Utica man charged with drug offenses.  From the BMW SUV, law enforcement seized about 225 grams of methamphetamine.  The sheriff’s office identifies the arrested man, Andrew Wilson Potts of Lonsdale Street, as the driver who pulled into a driveway on the Singing Pine Road and ran away. He was taken into custody, the sheriff’s office reported, while in possession of a bag of narcotics.
