Specialized bicycles for three Oconee schools

Three Oconee elementary schools are receiving the donation of adaptive bicycles.  They make cycling easier, whatever the rider’s individual needs.  The first presentation, made possible by the Walhalla Rotary Club, took place this morning at the James Brown Elementary School.  Dr. Michael Thorsland, district superintendent and a Rotarian, gave credit to fellow Rotarian (and county school trustee) Meghan Ketterman for birthing and following through on the idea of the adaptive bike for James Brown students.  But Ketterman deflected the praise by crediting all of the local Rotarians, along with businesses that contributed monies.  Each of two other elementary schools, Walhalla Elementary and Fair-Oak, are to receive an adaptive bicycle later today.
