Special glasses recommended to see the eclipse

In 13 days, on Monday, April 8, the U-S experiences a new solar eclipse.  Our area, however, can expect only a partial eclipse.  Still, to view it safely and not damage your vision, special glasses are a must.  You can get them online at sites such as eclipse2024.org, Walmart, or Amazon. Among those urging care is the Prisma pediatric optician Grant Brown.  According to TimeandDate.com, the partial eclipse in WGOG land should begin shortly before 2 pm and with a maximum darkness around 3 and end just before 4:30.  Some Georgia school districts, including Franklin County, will close early to allow students the chance to observe the unusual event with family.
