Special exception will allow for a new Walhalla mobile home

The board of zoning appeals at Walhalla granted a special exception last night to permit a mobile home near N. Laurel Street.  The address is the Tree Farm Road, a property that protrudes into a flood plain zone outside the city limits.  Code and zoning administrator Elijah Hayes says the only option open to the property owner was a petition to request that the manufactured home be allowed inside a general residential zone in Walhalla.  Hayes says the mobile home is brand new and meets all requirements of the zoning law.
