South Cove Park milestone

A gathering celebrated the 50th year of Oconee’s South Cove Park near Seneca.  Visit Oconee noted that the park was first leased to the county in 1973 by Duke Power Company.  That lease was regarded significant because it offered the public access to the newly-built Lake Keowee.  And, now 50 years later, the decisions of long ago benefit to new generations of people seeking recreation.
