Soon we shall hear all about it

Seneca officially turns 150 years old this year — a town that formed on opposite sides of the railroad — which today is a small city but Oconee’s largest of municipalities.  We are hearing that there is going to be a big fuss made about this achievement, including a proclamation that the mayor will sign.  1973 was Seneca’s centennial, a birthday that was led by the historian Louise Bell.
