“Something doesn’t add up” — says Fair Play businessman

Fair Play’s Churck Kormelink has registered his disappointment at Friday night’s news that, at least for now, developers’ plans for I-85 exit 1 are no more.  He’s referring to the revelation that Sancutary Pointe’s long-running lease for state property is going by the wayside.  Kormelink, who has commercial properties at the interchange, has for years pressed for the extension of sewer lines to enhance development possibilities.  In an interview airing on 101.7/WGOG, he also addresses the possibility that the state PRT may have something else in mind for its 325-acre Lake Hartwell peninsula.
