Short-term rental considerations in a mountain town

As Seneca did a couple of years ago, a nearby town is today dealing with the rules covering who may rent a home on a short-term basis.  And the town of Highlands, North Carolina announces that proposed changes to be considered in a public hearing are to be re-noticed, after determining that a local paper had failed to publish notice as required by state law.  According to the announcement, a second public hearing will then be held before the Town Board of Commissioners where the Board can consider adopting the proposed changes to its unified development ordinance.
