Shooting investigation leads to arrest south of Seneca

A 39 year old Seneca man was arrested yesterday
by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Attempted Murder and
Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime after Deputies investigated a report of gun shot discharged. Johnny Lamar Ramey was booked into the jail and later, according to the sheriff’s office, arrest warrants were obtained.  The location in question was Red Bird Lane, near Campbell Town Road south of Seneca. Based on information obtained during the
investigation, the victim and Ramey argued about items that were
stolen and money that Ramey is said to have owed the victim.
A shot from his 9mm pistol was fired, but victim was not hit.
The sheriff’s office quotes Ramey, the arrested man, as saying the victim threw a brick and hit the top of his building.
