Sewer meeting minutes ready in draft form

A draft of the minutes from the meeting a week ago of the board of the Joint Regional Sewer Authority has been prepared for approval at the next board meeting, to be held early next month.  They appear to clarify the action resulting from the county administrator’s in-person requests made February 6. According to the draft minutes:  “Ms. Brock stated at this time, the County has three (3) requests with the OJRSA:  1) Request the OJRSA and/or the grants division of the ACOG to request an extension and an amendment to the current RIA grant to request a 50% funding ($2.019 million) and that the request be presented at their next regular meeting Board hearing in early March; 2) Submit a grant amendment request to the US EDA in the amount of $1 million, which was already done; and 3) Request the contractor to hold the bid for an additional thirty (30) days so that all due diligence and documents may be completed before the required contract signature execution date.  Mr. Moulder made a motion seconded by Mr. Dial to act on the first two requests submitted by Ms. Brock on behalf of Oconee County to request the extensions for the two (2) grants for additional funding.  The motion carried unanimously by 7 yea – 0 nay.”
