Severe storms, hard freeze

The state climate office is warning of a dynamic weather situation for potential severe thunderstorms, followed by a hard freeze tomorrow night.  Severe weather outbreaks that happen when most people sleep are especially dangerous.  Make sure you have ways to be alerted when severe weather threatens and have a plan to react if you get a tornado warning.  As for the hard freeze tomorrow night, the state climate office’s Frank Strait says, “While it’s not impossible for wet snowflakes or ice pellets to be seen at the end of the rain in the Upstate, there is no concern for any notable winter weather.  But the problem is that it’s going to cold so late into the season.
