Severe storm and tornado risk

This from Frank Strait–South Cariolina severe weather official in Columbia:

We remain on track for severe thunderstorms to affect the state this afternoon and evening, with a risk for isolated tornadoes. The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) still has the Upstate and parts of adjacent areas at level 2 of 5 for severe weather risk, with the rest of the state at level 1. The level 3 risk area has been expanded to cover a part of the Upstate. If you’re in the Upstate, take time to ensure you’re ready for the storms.  Make sure that you have at least two ways to get warnings. Be sure you know what to do if a tornado warning is issued for your area and that you have chosen a shelter for you and your family (don’t forget your pets) before the storms hit. You won’t have time to do that when you receive a warning. Preparation is the key to protecting your property and even your life when a tornado threatens.
