Seven people are accused burglars at Foxwood Hills

The following announcement was made yesterday by the Oconee Sheriff’s Office:

“The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested seven subjects, six males and one female, (Sunday) in a burglary and larceny investigation in southern Oconee County.

 

24 year old Wilian Ismael Martinez-Vargas, 30 year old Denis Orlando Cruz-Grijalva, 41 year old Jose Manuel Marales-Martinez, 51 year old Mecario DeLuna Lopez, 27 year old Mavin Joel Funez-Vazquez and 21 year old Kate Julianna Saveedo, all of Westminster, along with 23 year old Didier Armando Shultz-Chirino of Seneca, were booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on Sunday evening on Temporary Custody Order’s.

 

Arrest warrants were obtained today charging all seven with one count each of 3rd Degree Burglary, Petit Larceny and Malicious Injury to Property.

 

A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division responded to Villa Road at Kingston Manor Lane in reference to a larceny call yesterday afternoon.  When the deputy arrived, she observed multiple vehicles on scene, including the vehicle of the project manager for a community of abandoned town homes that was purchased and is now being remodeled.

 

The deputy began an investigation and observed items which were taken from the complex, as well as evidence of forced entry inside of the complex.  A gate that had been installed at the complex was also discovered damaged.

 

The property owner spoke with the deputy and stated that he wanted to press charges.  All seven subjects were taken into custody and their vehicles were towed away from the scene.  The Criminal Investigations Division was also notified as well.

 

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
