Seneca’s new budgets in the home stretch

Revenue and expense numbers projected for a new year of Seneca government are ready for a final vote, as well as the annual hearing in which the public may comment and ask questions.  City officials say the hearing and the second (and final) budget votes are set for the evening of June 14.  Last night, on first reading, it appeared all questions or concerns had been answered.  The numbers that add up to $58.5 million are unchanged since city administration earlier this month presented them.  Long-time Mayor Dan Alexander took a moment to express gratitude to the council and to Administrator Scott Moulder and staff for the city’s current state of affairs.  The mayor believes Seneca’s position remains progressive–as the tax base grows with the help of the city’s financial incentives for the business community.
