Seneca’s leaders deliberate, but they take no action

Looming at Seneca is a question of whether city government can extract sufficient monies from the county to continue to serve its five-mile unincorporated radius with fire protection.  At budget time, the county’s largest three municipalities are grappling over new fire contracts.  Last night, at the end of a special meeting, Seneca City Council excused reporters and others from their chambers to deliberate the issue.  Around one hour later, they reconvened but took no votes predicated on anything they had just considered privately.
