Seneca’s finances evaluated by outside eyes

The examination of Seneca’s finances covering the latest government year was made official last night in a report by the city’s long-time outside auditor, Mike Stancil.  Something that showed up not good, in Stancil’s estimation, was a loss of nearly $15 thousand in the city’s net position.  However, in comments to the mayor and council last night, city administrator Scott Moulder clarified some of the audit numbers and explained that, in part, they were impacted by a bleed over in accounting from the April 2020 period that reflected the city’s numbers as the result of the EF 3 damage.
