Seneca’s East End intersection rated a sit-down meeting

Seneca officials and representatives of both the DOT and “A-COG” — the regional government service agency made the busy East End intersection, where the 123 By-Pass, EN 1st Street, and SC 130 converge, the focus of a meeting. And Lance Estep of the Appalachian Council of Government said the emphasis was to find steps that can be made to enhance safety and better facilitate traffic, especially that which lines up to make a left turn onto 130 in the direction of the Publix and Ingle’s shopping centers and farther down 130 the Oconee Nuclear Station and the many Lake Keowee Home developments.  As a result, Estep predicts at least two major improvements are likely to be made.  (He explains what they are in comments airing today on 101.7/WGOG NEWS”)
