Seneca reviews plans for a Dunkin’

For weeks, a sign on the 123 Seneca ByPass beckons the arrival of a Dunkin’, formerly known as Dunkin’ Donuts.  And Ed Halbig of city government says the planning and community development department has reviewed plans for the restaurant, to go on a vacant ByPass spot that, as long as 50 years ago, supported a Maryland Fried Chicken restaurant. According to Halbig, the property meets the requirements for a highway commercial operation.  He explained he’s unable to confirm if the franchisee for this Dunkin’ will be an outfit, Bluemont Group, based in Knoxville, Tennessee.
