Seneca homicide victim identified

Coroner Addis announcement:

“The 21-year-old Greenville man who died Wednesday night in Seneca is identified as:  Garrett Edward White.

Mr. White was in the driver seat of his vehicle when he was shot.   This incident was initially reported at 9:53 pm.   He was provided medical care by Seneca Police, Seneca Fire and EMS at the Laing Court incident location for his gunshot injury; he ultimately died at the scene at 10:38 pm.

An autopsy was performed Thursday morning; Mr. White died from a single gunshot wound to his left upper back that resulted in internal trauma.

His manner of death is classified a Homicide.

This incident remains under investigation by the Seneca Police Department.”
