Seneca contracts for a financial advisor

Going forward Seneca gets some outside financial advice as it handles and makes plans for the millions that it costs to operate government in Oconee’s largest municipality.  In last night’s special meeting, the city council approved the recommendation of Josh Riches, city finance director, to contract with First Tryon Advisors to provide a capital planning model.  Seneca will pay First Tryon Tryon not to exceed $35 thousand for services that Riches says will be valuable in forecasting revenue flows, both in good and bad financial times.
