Seneca car break-in case leads to Georgia

A three-month investigation of a car break-in at Seneca’s Shaver Recreation Complex took local police to Banks County, Georgia where they took their suspect into custody.  Sgt. Welborn went to Homer, Georgia and from the Banks County Detention Center, took custody of Lawrenceville, Georgia resident Cornelius James Lewis Jr.  On September 26, a spectator at a recreation complex softball game returned to her car and discovered the back window to her Chevy Colorado had been broken out and her purse, containing $800 dollars’ cash and a credit card, was stolen.  According to warrants, 25-year old Lewis is charged with larceny, breaking into motor vehicle, and financial transaction card theft.
