Seneca ATM alleged robbers traced to Texas

Here’s an announcement this morning by Casey Bowling, Seneca police chief, on a holdup at an ATM in mid afternoon at a local ATM:

“On November 11th, 2022, Seneca Police responded to TD Bank at 104 Mill Rd at approximately 3:30pm for the report of a robbery that had just occurred. Road Patrol units arrived and met with the ATM Technician who had been conducting routine maintenance on the ATM when two masked individuals approached him and stole an undisclosed amount of money. Using multiple investigative tactics, and efforts by Road Patrol, Directed Patrol, Criminal Investigations Division, and the assistance of other local agencies including the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, and the United States Secret Service, two vehicles of interest and subsequently two persons of interest were identified. Those vehicles and persons were determined to be from the Houston, TX area and ultimately warrants were signed for the arrest of the individuals. On January 4th, 2023, Gregory Paul Perkins was in the Houston, Texas area and arrested by Harris County (TX) Sheriff’s Office deputies and agents with the United States Secret Service. As of this date, Gregory Paul Perkins is in custody at the Oconee County Detention awaiting a bond hearing. This investigation remains active as there are still outstanding arrest warrants. More details will be released as they become available.”
