Seneca and Walhalla accidents

A car on East Main Street, Walhalla went out of control late yesterday afternoon and crashed through the front of an insurance office, narrowly missing the agent.  According to Police Chief Rice, Nationwide agent Stanley Nix avoided injury or worse just earlier by moving into an adjoining office.  Rice said a medical condition on the part of the Honda driver led to the accident and there’ll be no charges.  The accident occurred during the 5 o’clock hour.  Just before the car went into the building, the fire department was called to another accident — just east of Nationwide Insurance.  In the Walhalla-bound lanes an apparent side-swipe wreck sent one person to the hospital.  Nearly simultaneously at Seneca, a vehicle was being loaded onto a wrecker on the 123 ByPass between Golden Corner Plaza shopping center and Mountain View Drive.  That accident forced a traffic slowdown and backup in both directions.
