Senator Alexander addresses rising COVID numbers

ABC News quotes new evidence offered by the CDC that indicates among people 50 and older, the unvaccinated are 29 times more at risk of dying from COVID-19 than their fully vaccinated and double-boosted peers.  And the CDC website now pegs Oconee as a high-transmission county for the virus.  Senator Thomas Alexander, the Oconee Republican who now is the State Senate’s presiding officer, says whether to receive a vaccination remains the choice of the individual; at the same time, however, he urges everyone to follow the simple health protection tips that can guard against illness and the spread. His comments are being aired on 101.7/WGOG NEWS.
