Scott Balsitis on the stand

Plaintiff Scott Balsitis took the stand to support his case for damages in the claim by him and his wife, Anita, that they are owed monetary damages for damage to their Lake Keowee property.  The couple from Goose Creek are blaming their neighbors, Wade and Kimberly Walker, for the intrusion of mud, silt, and debris.  Balsitis, a retired Air Force officer who now teaches pilots to fly, along with his wife found their dream retirement home on Lake Keowee and, as he told the jury, wanted to come to live a slower pace than that of the Charleston area.   The Balsistis’ are represented by Walhalla attorney Keith Denny; the Walkers are being defended by Greenville attorney Steven Michael Nail.  Trial started yesterday.
