School trustee candidates will speak and greet

A group called “Citizens for Childhood Education in Oconee, SC” is announcing plans for “Meet and Greet” events featuring the candidates this year for seats on the county board of trustees.  The first is to be an event to allow the public to meet and hear the three candidates for Seat #1—Dean Bare, Amanda Holder, and Keri Unsworth.  That one is set for 10 to 11:30 Saturday morning, September 24 at the Keowee Key Event Center, 1392 Stamp Creek Road, Salem.   Each candidate gets the chance to speak and answer questions. For those persons interested in attending who live outside Keowee Key, you may do so by using the South Gate off Highway 183.  A second event—this one for District Three candidates—is scheduled 10 to 11:30 Saturday morning, October 1 At Senior Solutions, 101 Perry Avenue, Seneca.  The District One candidates are John Fallon, Jeremy Hobbs, Riley Johnson, and Sandra Sloan.  Candidates will introduce themselves and then be questioned by the moderator.
