Salem the victim of a reported scam

A caller using an international accent is said to be trying a scam on the small Oconee town of Salem.  The town clerk, Marti Jennings, says telephone callers are being made to sound like they are coming from Salem’s water department.  Jennings says they are not representing her town’s utilities department.  The public should be cautious.  The calls have been reported to law enforcement.
