Ruling in child’s death from last summer

The office of Anderson coroner announces the completion of its investigation of a child’s death September 2.  According to Coroner Greg Shore, seven-year-old Adlyn Briella Thrasher sustained cardiac arrest and died the result of methadone toxicity.  Around 6 o’clock the morning of August 30, she was found unresponsive in her bed and not breathing.  The family started CPR and called

911.  The child was sent to the Prisma Health Children’s Hospital and died three days later.  The investigation was conducted by the child death investigation task force of Anderson County.
