Road closings for Merchant Market & Craft Fair

Main Street Walhalla will be the site of the October 15th Merchant Market and Craft
Fair. In preparation for the event both sides of Main Street will be closed to provide space for vendors
to set up exhibits and allow visitors to stroll around without traffic close by. Both east and west bound
lanes from Tugaloo Street to Ann Street will be closed from 6:00 A.M until 6:00 P.M. on October 15th
.
Crossover streets (Tugaloo, College, Catherine, Spring and Ann) will remain open for vehicular traffic.
Pedestrians should utilize the crosswalks to move from block to block. Drivers are reminded that after 6
A.M. a turn onto Main Street will not be permitted. Signs and barricades will be in place to assist both
vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Ken’s Pharmacy patrons can use the Blue Ridge Bank parking lot,
parking spaces will be designated. Chief Tim Rice of the Walhalla Police Department states that, “Both
drivers and pedestrians need to travel slowly and be extra cautious during the event. Event goers
should stay within the barricaded sections and cross at designated places only
