Restaurant workers take a bite out of hunger

A one-day effort involving the employees of two Chick-fil-A restaurants (in Seneca and Clemson) is going to allow 10 community feeding organizations to provide meals to those with need.  Chick-fil-A officials say more than 25,000 meals were assembled and packaged for feeding services that include Clemson Community Care, Dot’s Kitchen in Westminster, and the food pantry at Walhalla’s St. Luke Methodist Church.  The plan was for 80 volunteers to converge on the Seneca store yesterday to package a healthy cinnamon oatmeal breakfast.  Providing logistics was the non-profit Harvest Pack, which mobilizes projects of this type across the country.
