Restaurant leader’s thoughts on those help-wanted signs

As the fight continues against COVID-19, the dining public has found it useful to pay attention to the changing conditions affecting the restaurant business.  And with the news of a couple of weeks back that at least three Walhalla food establishments were closing, 101.7/WGOG NEWS decided to check in with the president/CEO of the South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association in Columbia to find out her thoughts about what restaurateurs face these days in feeding the public.  Often you hear the complaint that restaurant staffs have thinned out because some people simply do not want to work.  It’s not that simple, as Susan Cohen explains.  Our in depth talk with the association president/CEO can be heard on Sunday’s ‘Community Soundoff’ to air during the noon hour.
