Recognizing the state’s champion matmen

Through the years, West-Oak High wrestlers have amassed so many state titles that it’s time for the nearest city to offer official recognition.  Tammy Allen, vice president of the West-Oak High School Booster Club, announced at last week’s Westminster City Council meeting that this year’s champion Warrior are going to attend a future meeting of the council and requested the council to get behind the idea of a welcome to Westminster sign that advertises the Warriors’ wrestling prowess.  Councilman Dana Glymph said, “I love the idea.”
