Quashing the thought of crossover voting

South Carolina will be the setting next month for separate Saturday preference votes on who should be the nominees this year to run for president.  Tempting as it might be for a voter of one political persuasion, crossover voting won’t be allowed.  In other words, as explained by Kristi Burr of Oconee Elections, voters must declare their party vote — either for a Democrat on February 3 or a Republican on the 24th.
