Proposed law addresses uniform elections and vote integrity

Under debate at the state capital:  A bill requiring counties to follow same practices, as created by the South Carolina Election Commission.  And Seneca’s state representative, Republican Bill Sandifer, approves.  Said he:  “I am always glad to see legislation focused on safeguarding the democratic process.”  One component of this legislation would forbid any county election board from taking private money.  That has not been the case in Oconee County, Sandifer says.  Another bill for debate would set two weeks before an election for early voting and allow South Carolina voters to vote early without needing a reason.  But anyone voting by mail would be required to include an I-D.
