Plea made in missing person case

One of the searchers in the case of a missing Salem woman has issued a plea to the general public in an area where she might be.  The rescuer has asked that those living on both the Cannon Road and the N. Little River Road check their campers and storage buildings for Tonya Marie Cannon.  At age 33, Cannon went missing the first Monday in February, the 6th of February.  She is 5’3”. 130 lbs., green eyes, and was seen last wearing black spandex pants and a light-colored shirt.  She has short, brown hair and a rose tattoo on one of her shoulders.  Her information has been entered into the database of the NCIC—the National Crimes Information Center.  Jimmy Watt, spokesman for the Oconee Sheriff’s Office, says, “If property owners would like to check their storage builders and campers, that is fine with us.  If anyone sees Tonya, they are welcome to contact the Sheriff’s Office.  Individuals can also submit a tip through Crimestoppers, if they would like to remain anonymous, at oconeecrimestoppers.com.
