Plans discussed for new low income Seneca home development

“Lakeview Place” is the name given for a proposed new home development that’s being designed to take a bite out of the local area’s shortfall of low income housing – or what’s called affordable housing for working individuals and families.  Those who attended a hearing this morning at Seneca’s Shaver complex saw drawings and heard from a representative of the state Housing Finance and Development Authority, along with officials of the contracting company.  A representative of Connelly Builders of Lexington told 101.7/WGOG NEWS that his company now owns the 9.5 acres where the plan is to construct 40 units over five separate buildings.  The property is situated off the 123 By-Pass behind the Bo Jangles.   The units are to feature 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms.   A resident’s income level will determine eligibility.
