“Planes in the sky Saturday morning”, Amanda Brock’s hope

The aircraft diversion required by the re-paving of the Oconee Regional Airport runway should end by the end of the week meaning, as explained this morning by the county administrator, that planes will resume take-offs and landings.  It depends on a couple of steps.  The contractor to re-stripe the runway expects to finish his part of the project today, following which an FAA inspection which Amanda Brock, administrator, hopes will be done tomorrow.  Which would allow for Saturday to be a flying day.  The decision to re-pave the runway in September was controversial because it interrupted airport business during Clemson’s football season.
