Pendleton woman faces two Oconee County charges

An apparent defective brake light on a 1999 Lexus was the impetus this week for a Seneca police officer to stop the driver.  The result was a driving under suspension charge against Pendleton resident Mandy Veronica Dehondt.  Later Oconee Sheriff’s Office confirmed a second infraction – an arrest warrant alleging 38-year old Dehondt committed breach of trust with fraudulent intent.  According to the warrant affidavit, as the cashier operator at an Oconee convenience store, is accused of cancelling sales for merchandise purchased and keeping the cash from them in the amount of $1,500.  The Seneca police traffic stop of the car driven by Dehondt took place Wednesday on WN 1st Street.
