Pedestrian dead after Oconee accident

On the second day of the New Year, the first traffic fatality of the year is being reported in Oconee County.  He’s Jeffrey Dion Holden.  A spokesman for the state patrol said the victim was a 58-year old Seneca resident, who was struck by a mini-van just after 5 this morning on 123, the Sandifer Boulevard, while trying to cross the four-lane highway.      Ridgeway said the Dodge mini-van driver, a 24-year old Westminster resident, was uninjured.
