Officer testifying

A sheriff’s sergeant, Aaron Alexander, is on the stand this morning in the Oconee General Sessions Court trial. It’s day two in the trial of William David Gunn, charged with burglary and other offenses when arrested in April last year.  First Sgt. Alexander testified that Gunn was taken into custody on the back property where the owner reported a home burglary in progress. Alexander quoted Gunn as saying, in response to a question, he got into the residence to rest and get water.  The officer further quoted the defendant as saying he walked to the location after his “old lady” put him out on his own in the Bountyland area.
