Office hopefuls speak to Oconee Democrats

Two South Carolinians with hopes to gain state and federal office addressed Oconee Democrats on Saturday in a virtual convention format.  Mia McLeod has hopes of gaining her party’s nomination to run for governor in November; Krystle Matthews is seeking the party’s nomination to run for the U-S Senate.  Jody Gaulin, chair of Oconee Democrats, said her fellow party members on Saturday concentrated on essential party business:  the election of officers, appointing an executive committee, and selecting delegates to the state convention.
