The unofficial results tonight show Seneca’s veteran state lawmaker, Bill Sandifer, took 88% of the vote — enroute to capturing a new, two-year term in the South Carolina House of Representatives. Sandifer’s count was 10,836; while write-in votes (spurred by write-in candidate Perry Smith, accounted for 1,430. In the two contested school trustee elections: A new, 4-year term is in store for the incumbent Sandra Sloan of District Three. She amassed unofficially 1,490 votes. Riley Johnson was next highest with 1,112. For District 1 seat, at the top: Amanda Holder, with 2,595; Incumbent Dean Bare, 2,205; and Keri Unsworth, 1,473. 101.7/WGOG NEWS will report other results tomorrow both on the air and on the website.
