Oconee students picks up leader’s skills

A Walhalla High student from Seneca experienced life in nation’s capital this summer as part of a Washington Youth Tour arranged by the state’s electric cooperatives.  Olivia Lee, along with Pendleton’s Abigail Blankenship, represented the Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative on a type of super-charged field trip to visit Washington, DC monuments and memorials, to meet lawmakers and their staffs.  According to an article in South Carolina Living, Olivia and Abigail joined 47 students who received a Washington welcome from the office of 3rd District Representative Duncan along with meetings with Senators Scott and Graham.
