Oconee service organization target of phishing attack

An Oconee County organization that is devoted to the needs of those who have life-long developmental disabilities is not immune to cyber attacks that frequently come from abroad.  The email provider for the Tribble Activity Center near Seneca has traced spam and malware laced email IP addressed back to Russia and Malaysia, among other locations.  Here’s a 101.7/WGOG NEWS clarification:  In our earlier post, we mistakenly attributed a quote about this to Jerry Mize, the executive director.  The information attributed to him was a straight statement contained in the Tribble Activity Center newsletter.  101.7/WGOG NEWS apologizes for the error and happy to set the record straight.
