Oconee schools to award new food service deal

A food service operation near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is recommended to be the next food supplier of Oconee County public schools.  The county trustees last night recommended the award of a one-year arrangement (with the possibility of renewals) to The Nutrition Group of Irwin, Pennsylvania (the corporate office).  According to its website:  “We serve up nutritious and appealing meals for school-aged students through senior citizens.” There is a 10 day period during which other vendors can protest the move toward the new contract.
