Oconee physician worried for COVID surge

An Oconee physician gave a quick “Yes” as his reply when asked today if he fears for a surge of COVID-19 when the county’s schools return for a new year on the 15th of August.  Dr. Billy Campbell, Westminster general physician, expressed the concern, along with an explanation why, which is airing today on 101.7/WGOG NEWS.  Our interview with the doctor covered a number of COVID-related topics – including new sub-variants, low vaccination and low fully-boosted rates among the county’s populace, reasons why people choose not to be vaccinated, and a Pfizer product used to treat President Biden’s bout with the virus.
