Oconee manufacturer expands

An Oconee manufacturer on the Old Walhalla Highway, West Union is getting larger, by nine thousand square feet. Announcement today that Clarios, formerly Johnson Controls, will make an investment of about $16 million and create 12 new jobs.  Based at Glendale, Wisconsin, Clarios is considered a leading battery maker for the mobility industry.  At its Oconee location, the operation makes component parts for Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) batteries, critical for use in new automotive technologies.  Vehicles, including hybrid and fully electric models, require a low-voltage energy source to power essential systems and functions.  If you have interest in working at Clarios, please visit the careers page of the company.
