OCONEE GRANTED $1.4M FOR ROAD WORK

On Thursday, the State “C” fund committee granted Oconee County $1.4 million, the money to be used for County Road work.
The money was granted on a vote of three to nothing by all three members of the committee, which receives and distributes State Highway funds to local governments, the county & its 5 towns & cities.
It’s believed that the money that’s designated for Oconee County will help resurface as many as 10 County Roads, including Doyle Street near Hopewell Church Road in the Seneca area, and Carradine Road in the Shiloh Community, among others.
