No resolution to case bush hogging fatality

After two years, still no resolution in the case of two boys in Family court as the result of the shooting death of a man operating a bush hog in 2021 near Westminster.  The reason for the delay, a court officer indicates, centers on the question of competency of the young defendants.  A petition was filed with the court in reference to charging two boys – at the time 8 and 9 years old – with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Danny Andrew Smith, 62.  Juveniles under the age of 10 may not be detained; they were released to the custody of their parents, pending court outcomes.
