New political qualifying reported today

As reported by Kristi Burr at the Oconee Elections Office, the following five people have signed up for municipal races this November:  Linda Oliver for re-election as West Union; Dixie Meeks, for re-election to the town council there;  Leigh Roach for Salem Town Council; and Freddie Lopez and Dan Holman for Walhalla City Council.  Friday noon is the filing period deadline.
